The Honda Passport was one of the products of the brilliant collaboration between Honda and Isuzu in the '90s. Designing and manufacturing the vehicle was solely done by Isuzu, which was also selling it at the time as the Rodeo. The Passport became Honda's instant ticket into the emerging SUV market in the US, even though the vehicle was actually a pickup truck modified to be a wagon.

The first-generation Passport carried a 4-cylinder engine that generated 175 horsepower. The Passport's power and drivability were good overall though some reviews criticized it for its slightly outdated design.
