Stylin' Trucks Names New General Manager, Director, Analyst

INDEPENDENCE, OH  – April 5, 2010  – Stylin' Trucks, the nation’s leading retailer of truck, SUV and Jeep accessories, has announced the promotion of Vivian Root to General Manager. Root will be responsible for overseeing the Stylin' and Enthusiast brands within Whitney Automotive Group (WAG).

Root will also continue to hold her current role as Vice President, Human Resources WAG. She has been with the company for more than eight years in Operations and HR roles respectively and has been a strong leader for the Stylin' brand throughout her tenure. 

In addition, Stylin' is making a concerted effort to expand its name in the custom truck arena. In doing so, the retailer has named Chip Tietze as Marketing Director of Stylin' Trucks. Tietze has been with WAG for more than six years supporting the Inventory/Purchasing functions for all brands of the Whitney Automotive Group.  Tietze brings previous marketing expertise from the insurance industry, as well as extensive customer relationship management experience with JoAnn Stores.

“With both Vivian and Chip’s leadership, along with the strong support functions that we have in place, the Stylin' brand will be well positioned for 2010,” said WAG CEO Tom West. “We are confident that we’ll achieve our growth goals and continue to see strong progress toward the enthusiast brand initiatives.”

Brian Hill has joined WAG in the new role of Business Analyst for the Enthusiast Brand businesses. Hill is responsible for coordinating the analytics for the Finance, Merchandising and Marketing areas. He brings many years of experience from a variety of industries including healthcare, mortgage and manufacturing. 

“Brian’s analytical experience will help us tremendously to strengthen Stylin's progress and expand on our successes while discovering new opportunities,” said West. “With our new additions, we will chart a strong course for this year, and continue to be the prominent enthusiast brand.”
