Definitely needed for my 4/6 drop. Would be harder and take more time to install without a lift; you could do it without lift, but more work.

I installed this on my 2004 GMC Sierra when I dropped it 4 in the front and 6 in the rear. The instructions were lacking the detail that I thought was necessary. The appearance is good and I guess it does its job but how do you know where exactly it is supposed to go? You can only install it when the truck is lifted of the ground therefore nothing is lined up as it should be. There should have been a template or something.

the picture is not what u get it in fact is two steel plates that mount under the carrier bearing which raises it up but it only took about 15 min. to in stall and works great on my 96 mazda b2300
