Had to drill Posted 2007-07-09 09:24:11 by biroinc

Product looks great, but had to drill out holes to make bigger for bracket to fit, then had to bend bracket to match up with, turned an easy project into somewhat of a time consuming project. Truck now looks good with them installed-but had to "Drill" through frame of truck.

Brackets don't fit!! Posted 2007-07-09 09:34:48 by biroinc

Nerf bars went on easily, but the support brackets did not fit-no holes to attach. I will either have to drill or leave those off. This was for an '07 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab. The product looks good on the truck!

Fit Like A Dream Posted 2007-07-18 21:34:54 by Lunchbox

All the correct parts were provided and everything bolted up correctly. The steps I took off to install these didn't even have a support brackets like this kit so that's an added plus. The only thing, though minor, I didn't like was the brackets on the passenger could've been turned around but this doesn't take away from this quality product. We'll have to see if it can handle a northern winter.

Good quality for the money.Arrived complete with all nuts, bolts and painted brackets. Installation took about two hours. The brackets are somewhat adjustable to achieve a level look. Held up to the "no drilling" claim and was a one man operation. The step bars look beefyer than what the images show and my wife likes them so much that she wants to trade her mini van in for a truck. Gotta admit, they do make my ride look good.

Installation on my Chevy 1500 reg. cab only toke 40 minutes using simple tools. So its very easy to install. And they look very beefy. Makes it much easier to get into my lifted truck. You can't go wrong buying these step bars!

Side Step Bars Posted 2008-01-09 02:50:48 by flywvguy

Looks GREAT, very functional, helps my family get into and out of my truck. Great price. Shipping was fast. Use the step when getting out OR get grime on the back of your pants. Installation was not as easy as described, took another hour or two, but it turned out great!!!! Thanks for a great product!!!!

Wonderful product, went on smoothly except for the center support. The bolt easily stripped out the treads on the bar. Easy fix wi another bolt. Look great on my 05 chevy crew cab.

2007 Colorado Posted 2008-03-14 06:25:43 by ggroeneweg

2007 Colorado brackets mount to the body mounts and won't bolt up with the items supplied. They need to fix this problem. I had to remove them because they made the truck noisy and ride rough. Looking for longer spacers and bolts to make them work.

Nice Steps Posted 2008-03-21 11:14:45 by Tangofitty

VERY easy to install. I did alone in about an hour while the kids played outside. The extra step by the bed is a nice feature, especially due to the extra deep Ford beds. Steps look tougher than the shorter versions most people have. Excellent weight capacity!

2007 Toyota Tacoma Posted 2008-10-01 10:23:33 by tazmannia

Ordered these step rails for my 2007 Toyota Tacoma Dbl Cab 4x4 and they look awsom! The only 2 problems I had with this product was the instruction where not very helpful in telling you need to install the brakets to the bars before putting them on your truck, and 2nd was I was missing nuts & washers, I had to goto Home Depot and buy them so I could finish the install!

Great Product Posted 2009-11-26 10:33:45 by mlbinseattle

I installed the steps the day the same day these were delivered. Took me about an hour to read the instructions and to bolt onto the truck. Installation was a piece of cake. I checked out many sites before choosing Stylin' Trucks to purchase these, and I just couldn't find this quality at a better price. My only beef is that these took two weeks to ship and almost another week to receive. The automated system kept telling they shipped much sooner, and I didn't get a tracking number until a day or so after they shipped. Don't get me wrong. I'll buy from Stylin' Trucks, again.

Great Bars Great Service Posted 2010-07-05 17:31:42 by Anonymous

Have to start with the Customer Service-GREAT. I goofed on my internet order& they got the right stuff out to me in no time after I let them know.Only problem is the order didnt come with all the hardware it should have and I had to go out and buy it myself. A hassle when you're truck's already up on the lift but otherwise it was a great purchase. Bars look great, work great.

2010 Silverado Regular Cab Posted 2010-09-26 22:08:25 by Anonymous

I had to contact the company as I was supplied the wrong brackets. One week later they arrived and it only took me 30 minutes to install the bars. The bars came out of the box with rubber end caps installed. I cut out a clearance hole in the center of each cap for the bolt to clear, then mounted the bars per the instructions. There was no mention in the instructions as to whether to leave them on of discard them. I chose to use them. After mounting the bars I retorqued the bolts. No squeaks and they look great!

Don't Last Posted 2010-10-24 16:31:38 by Anonymous

I put the Black Powdercoated ones on a 2008 Silveado. The install was easy and the fit was great. After 1 1/2 years of use I noticed that the paint was bubbling in a few areas. After further inspection I noticed that the so-called Powdercoating is not really anything moe than standard paint and doesn't hold up to rocks at all. I remoed them and found the underside paint was peeling off and the rails were rusting out. I would recommend the Chrome coated if you decide on these as my friend has them and hasn't had this issue. The benefits of Chrome.
