Custom product that requires A LOT of custom modification. Had problems with my driver side door but realized that my real problem was caused by a weak battery and old door hinge. Replaced the hinge and bought a new battery and everything keeps on poppin' like its hot!

DON'T BUY THEM!!! I BOUGHT THE 35 LB. KIT AND IT LASTED UNDER A YEAR...WHAT DID AUTOLOC SAY...NO WARRENTY DUE TO WATER...IN THE DOOR DUH THEIR GONNA GET WET!!! SO I BOUGHT THE BEST ONE THEY HAD KIT...WELL IT LASTED ABOUT 2 YEARS AND I EVEN ENCASED THEM IN PVC TO SHIELD WATER!!! THEIR PIECE A CRAP! BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD GUYS!!!

Just because the solenoids are an automotive product doesn't mean that they are immune to water. It is an electronic device (a powerful electric motor) and needs to be kept dry. And the interior of your door should not be getting wet. If you have water problems on the inside of your door, it really points to a larger issue. Perhaps you need new/replaced weatherstripping, or your door handles and/or mirrors may not be properly installed. You wouldn't put an expensive stereo system in a leaky truck, would you?

HEY GUYS AT S TRUCKS WHATS THE DEAL WITH THIS KIT I MEAN IT WORKS BUT WHY DO I HAVE TO TRY THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR TWICE JUST TO GET IT TO OPEN THE PASS SIDE OPENS USUALLY WITH ONE PUSH OF THE BUTTON HEY CAN YOU GUYS EXPLAIN THIS THANKS I MEAN COME ON AM I GOING TO HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THIS WHEN I SHAVE THE HANDLES I HAVE NOT EVEN HAD THE KIT FOR A MONTH YET

It sounds like an adjustment is needed on the cable. If the cable was not adjusted properly when installed, this problem can happen.

Still havent installed ,intalation aint sow easy.Im at a stand still wit this one.It doesnt come wit a step by step inst. for my exact truck n instructions confuse me more than it helps.Would apreciate a more direct install guide then just a quick guide.I also have to buy another packit 4 it to work wit my truck.If tech support could send me a step by step instructional guide for my truck i would have been happier wit this kit.

Have had nothing but problems. First the door wont even try to pop open on some days. Next the solenoid broke the latch on passenger side. I am tired of worrying what the next problem is going to be. Looks great but doesnt work great!

I dont recomend this kit to anyone! You have to run the wireing harness thru 3 diffrent relays for it to work, it does not come with step by step instructions on how to do this, it comes with a peiece of paper that gives you a general idea! I recomend doing what i did...Sell the wireing harness to an idiot and go to O'rileys, get a bullydog keyless entry set up (for trunks and to unlock doors ect..) Wire it up with your selinoids and it will be so much easier. its $60 for the wireing harness and it comes with 2 remotes.
