| The tailgates on these big trucks are pretty heavy, and I hated how when I opened it, occasionally it would slam down out of control. I ordered this EZ Down, and installed it myself (since my husband wasn't home) in about 14 minutes! I love that I can open the tailgate with one hand while holding groceries in the other! Great product, great deal. |

| I purchased the product based on the purpose. I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 and was unable to install due to the tailgate bolt. It was too large to fit in the opening. I'm only writing this review to warn any other '09 Dodge RAM 2500 owners of the flaw. Excellent ratings given to Quality, Features and Appearance due to the assistance it would have given only. StylinTrucks was excellent with the RMA. No issues with that. |

| Very easy to install. About 15 minutes from start to finish. The only problem I ran into was removing the factory bolt from the truck. Other then that what a great product. Great shipping once again from Stylin Trucks. |

| Purchased the EZ down tailgate on a weekend and received it in 3 working days and must say; I am very pleased with it, now I don't have to guide my tail gate down at all. All I do is open it and let it fall freely. Installation was a no brainer, just follow the instructions. I think all pick up trucks should have this as a standard equipment. |

| Bought one for my Ram. Product is great and installation was easy, BUT, Instructions didn't tell you what to do with shrink wrap sleeve and rubber tube. Had to view website video to confirm what I had guessed. Emailed company and was told the people copying instructions had messed up. Tail gate safety cable tries to pop out while closing. I am still getting one for my dad for his truck for Father's Day. |

| Installed on a 2005 Dodge Ram. Tight fit for both the cable and this device. Shrink wrap and sleeve is not working out as a solution from the cable jamming the cylinder and rear tail light. I feel it will break the light so I finally just took the cable out. The mounting pin on the tailgate is a bit cheezy - without the cable I now need to worry about this piece. Other than that it works great. Poor quaility installation instructions. |

| Photocopied instructions hard to read/see. The EZ Down for my Silverado doesn't have the quick disconnect (like the cables) as shown in the video(it is as shown in the printed catalog though). Apparently the Silverado's version doesn't come with the shrink tube either, but I haven't needed it. I also had to flip the positions of the cable the the EZ Down on the mounting bolt to keep the cable from catching on my gate. Also, the mounting bolt with nylock nut looks a bit cheesy as compared to the mounting pin shown in the video. However, it does work well as promised. I just wish I didn't have to unbolt that now to remove the tail gate. Apparently the Silverado's version isn't granted that quick disconnect feature or the nicer mounting OEM-look pin that the Ford version apparently has? It does serve its purpose well despite the minor gripes. I would recommend the product for safety and convenience. |

| cable with the foam heat shrink, gets wedged and works its way behind the piston. when tailgate is opened, it prevents the tailgate from opening. If forced, in my case having the tail lense bezel,it will travel with the pistion side by side against the light lense, and break it. I unclip the piston and pull the foam and cable out. I've wraped several layers of electrical tape around the heat shrink to thicken it as to stop it from some how working its way behind the pistion when driving after a period of time. Outher wise a good control idea. |

| What a piece of junk! The cable broke the tail light lens on my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 the first time i opened it. The foam spacer is not the answer. The new lens cost more than your cheap product. To bad it was not tested better. |

| It's great that I can now open the tailgate on my Dodge Ram P/U and it lowers itself at a slow, steady rate. No more over-stressing the support cables or anchors. It was fairly easy to install; it took about 15 minutes or so. |

| Easy to install. Very nice to be able to open the tail gate with one hand. If I had to say anything negative... it makes for one more step to remove the tailgate because you have to back off one of the nuts. No big deal though. Now all they need is a remote control to release the tailgate hands free. That would be cool. |

| does what it says it will, keeps tailgate from falling and hitting something, someone or just plain ole yanking the cables too hard. only thing is they show it with a quick release on the piston which it doesn't have making tailgate removal require tools. also you need to train the cables to fit with it and by the time they get along with each other the sheath of the cable gets a little chewed up but that shouldn't affect its life or function. |

| Now the tailgate on my 2004 Ram 1500 can be opened safely by anyone, thanks to the "EZ Down Tailgate Assist". Installation was a snap. Can be done by one person and it only took about 15-20 minutes. Well worth the price. |

| When I first saw this item online I was very skeptical because of the price. After installing this item, which mind you was a pleasure, I was sold. | Ditto on all the above. Very nice. Only problem I had was I had to remove the left tail light on my F150. The bolt had alot of paint and a spot of the tack weld keeping it from backing out. Quick hit with a little file and out it came. Tail gate has a air brush painting on it and now it comes down real easy with out the bang if the handle slips. Can I give it 6 stars. |

| This is a great product but the manufacturer needs to include a a large piece of shrink wrap in the kit to eliminate tailgate cable from falling behind power assist shock. I took a large piece of shrink wrap and lined the shock with it and it eliminated this problem and looks nice to. |
