Fire & Ice LED Light Strip

Description:

Add an LED Light Bar Anywhere!
The Plasmaglow Fire and Ice LED Light Strip is a cutable and customizable LED light strip. Just like the Fire and Ice Light Bar from Plasmaglow, the Light Strip is the only light strip on the market that works as a running light, brake light, turn signals and features bright, white LED backup lights. And it can be cut to any length for installation anywhere.

The LED strip comes coiled in a small box to eliminate the oversize shipping charges you'll find with most llight bars. Simply unroll, cut to length, and install anywere you want. The strip features automotive adhesive, so it'll stay put and look great.

Mini-truck with a stepside bed - finally an LED light bar short enough for you. Want an LED light bar in your rear window - cut to length and stick it where you like. Plasmaglow makes it easy!

How It Works:
Step on the brakes and the LED light strip acts as a third brake light (or fourth!) The full gamut of red LED's lets everyone behind you know you are stopping. Put on your turn signals and the light bar flashes the corresponding side. Shift your truck into reverse and your Fire & Ice Light Strip automatically switches to backup light up mode. Powerful white LEDs create a "safety zone" behind your truck for safe, confident maneuvering. (White reverse wire must be hard-wired into your tail lenses.)

  • Easy to install using pre-applied automotive adhesive - no drilling!
  • Includes 4-way plug connector - plugs right into trailer harness!
  • Weather-proof housing.
  • Lifetime Warranty.

Be the first to upgrade your truck with the latest in lighting technology, the new Fire & Ice LED Light Strip from Plasmaglow!

Fire and Ice
Posted 10/12/2009 by JWagner
Original post: 10/18/2007
Way better quality then the all red light bar. Had to use there 60 day warrantee a few times, but with the Fire and Ice it has lasted over a year and a half. Even transfered it from vehicles. These are the only source of taillights, turn signals and reverse lights on the back of my Dakota, and I wouldn't go with someone I personally wouldn't recommend. Also, if you shave your taillights and use this as your only source of rear lighting, check local laws, and use small DOT reflectors, since you are required to have one on each corner of the vehicle.

Edit: 10/12/09
Just like to add almost 2 years later, and still going strong!

Fire and Ice L.E.D. bar
Posted 10/26/2007 by 1eleanor
The installation was the easy part, the only item that will be optional to purchase is a roll of 3M tape to safely secure the bar in place, other than that be prepared to turn heads day and night!!

Wow!!
Posted 11/30/2007 by bvice
The first shipment had to be returned because it was broken in shipping. A replacement shipment was sent immediately. The light bar was extremely easy to install on the back of my Dodge Ram. It looks great, and really catches the eye, especially the brightness of the backup lights. My son likes it so much, he has hinted for one of these for his truck, as a Christmas gift!

Won't fit trucks with hole between bumper & tailgate needed to lower spare tire
Posted 12/5/2007 by Don O'Connell
Take note if you own a 2006 Dodge Ram or another with the same spare tire lowering system. If you properly position this where it can be seen (which is the point) you will cover the hole necessary to insert the rod to lower your spare tire. I could have mounted it above this hole but it would have been blocked by the tailgate.

Perfect...
Posted 10/8/2008 by Silver08rado
Fire and Ice, who would have thought they would go so good together.

I've had this light bar for about 4 months now and I love it, so many compliments and the added security of "I know they can see me now" for those jerks that like to follow ridiculously close to you. Installation was decent, directions only showed you really how to hard wire it to your harness which if you have any idea of how those work it is pretty simple. Since I have a new truck I didn't want to cut and tape and all of that "quick fix" stuff so I went out and bought some of those harness clips that splice it together and seal it from the weather, I recommend those as well.

The tape on those things are so sticky its almost a painstaking process to get them not to stick when you're trying to fit it so them falling off is out of the question. I've heard of cd's for spacers, I tried it...its okay but I got it straight with just eying it up and taking my time.

Installation is about 15-30 minutes if you know what you're doing by yourself, can't complain, it looks awesome. The L.e.d shines in night and day. If you're thinking about getting this product, then stop looking and just buy it, you wont be disappointed.

Fire & Ice Bar - 48"
Posted 10/17/2008 by msmaness
This product looks great and is very easy to install. You do have to hard wire the reverse lights, but is very simple to do. It worked great with the Sir Michaels Roll Pan I had installed and everybody stops me to inquire where to get one. Thanks

INSTALLED ON TRAILER RAMP
Posted 10/21/2008 by Mr_Geo
I'm a landscaper and wanted to let drivers behind me know if I was braking or turning, particularly tailgaters. I have a trailer with brake/turn signals that are low to the ground and tailgaters can't see what I'm going to do. My trailer gate has "L" beams that run vertically so I drilled holes through them and installed the LED Light bar at the top of my ramp. If you plan on doing the same, know that you will need to buy a metal hole saw, extra wiring, and possibly an extra 5-pin plug to hook up to your vehicle's wiring. The LED Light bar has worked perfectly, even with all of the jarring that trailers get from bouncing over potholes. I highly recommend people using trailers to augment their lighting with a LED Light Bar. The LED will not burn out from vibration like typical incandescent lights so you have added assurance that drivers know what you are doing at all times. I purchased a 60" Light Bar as well, and plan to install on my new truck for added assurance that those behind me know what I am doing.

NO more REAR ENDED !!
Posted 10/24/2008 by singledude39
08 GMC Sierra, I just plugged it in and wired the reverse lights into the white wire on the factory plug, works great ~~ only downside is when the headlights are on, its just a clearance lights, but when the lights are off, the signals blink with direction, and stop lamp works, and reverse is all white...

Very Cooolllllll !!!!
Posted 6/18/2009 by cowboybilly
I installed the Fire&Ice light bar on my 08 Silverado. It looks and works great. I have a warranty on my truck and did not want to hard wire this in. So I bought a 7 to 4 flat adaptor and that works great. But now I have a utility trailer and I still want to keep my warranty intact. So, I have decided to buy the Fire & Ice light bar set for the trailer and use a multi-tow adaptor 7rv to a 4 & 5 flat. We are going to change the 4 flat on the trailer to a 5 flat by using the white wire for back up lamps. I hope this will help some of you. I love my light bar. It's is awesome ansd so cool!

Hard wiring the light bar will not void any factory warranty

installed inside on the dash board.

Installed with my parking lights that is
mounted under my Tail-Gate.
.Luma Flex LED Strips
(Blue) Installed under the Wheel-Wells

The Fire & Ice LED Light Bar is an phenomenal product that I recommend anyone to purchase which they will be a

The Luma Flex LED Strips is a great product but, does have a fault which is very hard to see durning the daylight.
At night this product is great which displays it's true purpose which will make any customer very satified.

Thank You,
Joseph M. Scuturio

It looks great and people who see it thinks its really sets the truck off. I'm starting to see more trucks with this on their trucks. That is the reason I ordered for my truck, because I saw it on another truck and I liked the way it looked.

Installed this on a 09 Dodge Ram 1500. Took tailgate off, lined CD cases along the bumper, layed light bar across cases, and secured. Fits perfect, tailgate clears nicely. Hardwiring to the RAM is tricky, left it thru the harness and hardwired to back up lights was real easy. Looks awsome!!!!!!

Great shipping, great product, and easy to install except for one issue. The manufacturer labeled the product wrong so it was installed backwards the first time. Other than that, it looks and works great!
