I put a 2-4 drop on my 07 pickup (new body style).The coils on the front didn't really affect the ride much but the rear flip kit with the stock shackles really made this thing ride like a tank. I've even put bags and DJM drop shocks to help. The truck looks great but wouldn't recommend this kit due to the poor ride quality.

I had an auto body shop lower my chevy truck 3"-5", they told me McGaughy's recommeded that rear shocks would need to be installed. After completion of lowering truck there was a rattle in the back, after two trips back to shop the replace shocks with my old shocks and no rattle.

I have an 07 sierra new body and i put a 4/7 drop on it with belltech nitro active drop 2 shocks in the back, it looks awesome and the ride is amazing. Actually putting all the stuff on is also something amazing, amazingly difficult. I had a shop install it they know what they're doing and they had my truck for 4 days installing this kit, other than the installation i have no complaint its well worth it.

I have a 2008 4 door silverado and I put a 4/7 on it myself. The instructions with this kit suck and on the front spindles you have to install a selftaping screw to hold an ABS line and it breaks off into the spindle every time right when you start it. Other then that this kit is really easy to install if you have any mechanical ability. Im still not happy and want it lower, cause a truck can never be low enough...im gonna bag it!

This Kit went perfect with my truck on a set of 24's with a 35 series tire...not to mention even pulling with a trailer the 5in drop in the back was just right....all tight fit no rattle! Looks great and rides good! I've already recommended McGaughy's kits to my friends!

Overall I am happy. I could not get much feed back before I ordered so I went with the 3/5. I set the back down on what was supposed to be the 5" and it made the rear sag like i was haulin wood. Mcgauhy's said the rear hanger was adaptable to a 5/6 and that I had it on the 6" drop. that was news to me. when i ordered they said it was adaptable to a 4/5. the truck now sits level which I assume is only 5 in the rear now. the front tires rub a little on turns, 305/35/24. I ordered new rear shocks..not sure if i needed them or not. The ride is good and it turns heads. i will post pics as soon as my gaylords bed cover comes in. 08 black chevy crew cab

I had a buddy drop mine at his work and he said installation was fairly easy.The hardest part was cutting the factory bump stop brackets off and chiseling of the rivets and brackets on the rear hangers. Overall truck looks sick!!!Perfect stance with the 4/6. I'm running 22x9's with +45mm offset and 265-35-22 Falkens and they dont stick out or rub. I love it!!

i put the 4/6 on my 2002 dodge ram 1500 looks sweet front was easy back a little tuffer. i got 305/40/22 front rubs had to cut 1in off front fender and put sport flars on and cut some of the inner fender out but it looks sick. i recommend this to every body

Purchased this kit to lower my '03 Yukon 4WD. I had the truck done in about an hours time total (I am a mechanic though, Novice DIY'ers may take 2-2.5 hours). The quality of the pieces is excellent, and the instructions are decent. You will need a tool to relieve tension on the torsion keys in order to remove the adjustment bolts. Not many automotive parts shops have even heard of the tool and it is $180 from the Snap On truck.

Once installed I measured about 3" drop front and 3" rear. I had the torsion adjustment bolts pretty loose, and once I tightened them I was able to attain a closer to level ride height with a slight bit of front rake to keep from rear sag when loaded with people/cargo. Plan ahead and be ready to have to truck aligned once installed, front camber and toe will be way out and I wouldn't recommend any trips other then to the alignment shop. Have the front height set before aligning.

Great Kit, everything is well built and everything worked perfectly when i installed it. Springs are a little difficult to change since the front suspension uses a spring and strut combination! would recommend taking it to a shop to get that changed, or using a press is the only way to get the strut and spring back together! Ride quality is excellent and the front spindles maintain a perfect factory alignment! Best kit for the dollar!

When installing this kit you must replace the rear shocks. Also if you are going to run 24s with 305/35r24 you will rub in the rear.
