DJM Cal-Max SuperShox

Product InfoRelated ItemsReviews
Description:

  • Specifically designed for trucks with DJM lowered suspension.
  • The correct length and valving to match DJM Cal-Max lowering kits & DJM control arms.
  • Stronger & more durable - prevents bending under extreme conditions.
  • Largest diameter shaft of any lowered shock - a full .625"

If you've lowered your truck or SUV using DJM suspension (or any other suspension for that matter) you need to replace your shocks.

Leaving stock shocks on your lowered vehicle WILL result in a bone-jarring ride, poor handling and eventually shock failure.

The reason: your stock shocks are designed to operate at factory ride height. When you lower your suspension your stock shocks become overloaded and do not function properly.

DJM Cal-Max SuperShox, on the other hand, are specifically designed to operate at your new lower ride height. The result - a smooth ride, sports-like handling and long-lasting reliability.

Try a set on your lowered truck and feel the difference.

TERRIBLE
Posted 5/29/2007 by CORRALES
These shocks suck. My lowered truck rides rougher than a car with no shocks.

Stylin Trucks response posted on 5/30/2007
Some issues that might lead to a rougher ride are: incorrect shock length, incorrect or missing bump stops, the type of lowering kit used, etc. If you're not sure what components are right for your vehicle, be sure to call one of our product experts.

already worn out
Posted 6/23/2007 by tsparks38
These shocks are worthless, I've had them less than 1500 miles and they are already worn out. The rubber bushings have came out of the front one.

Silverado rides great
Posted 9/27/2007 by silverman
I was nervous dropping my Silverado as much as I did but after researching shocks and length needed, I chose the DJM shocks. The roads in my area are crappy but the truck rides great with the 4 inch lower control arms and 6 inch flip! Even my wife doesn't hassle me about dropping it!

I redid my 01 Tahoe
Posted 9/28/2007 by BlewByYou
I added an exhaust and intake to my '01 Tahoe and finally threw away my lowering front spindles that had been eating up my tires for years! Put on control arms from these people and figured I'd trust em for shocks too. Good choice. Really happy with the ride. I stepped up for better tires too cause my Tahoe finally aligned! Blew away this idiot in a Sentra on an offramp! HEHE

Leaked - Puddled on Garage Floor
Posted 1/11/2008 by swolbrink
I put these shocks on my lowered truck in Jan.'07. After 1 month one of the front shocks started leaking. After three months the other front shock started leaking. They leaked enough to make a mess on the garage floor. They are complete shot now, Jan.'08. And I'm am replacing today. I'm 42, these are the worst shocks I've ever used.

i bought the shocks in a kit from styling.com came with 2 coils 2 front and
2 rear shocks/ this is the best kit for a
mild drop, but keep in mind you will have a higher spring rate and less travel,
which will give your ride a litte bounce
