Description:

Cold Air for More Power!
Volant Air Intake Systems feature a closed airbox design that keeps hot engine compartment air out of your air intake stream, pulling cold air from down below. This gives you a cold, dense air charge that delivers maximum punch with maximum power potential.

Cold Air Intake Kits from Volant also feature a reusable cotton gauze air filter that flows substantially more air than a factory air filter. The air filter is mounted inside of a vehicle-specific polyethylene airbox that both looks attractive and dissapates heat. A high-flow polyethylene air tube completes the setup. Installs in 20 minutes or less.

  • Gain up to 18 additional horsepower
  • Up to 40 lb.-ft. of torque
  • Improves gas mileage

So get the power, the brute force, and the MILEAGE you're looking for. More airflow creates a more efficient engine, freeing up trapped horsepower and allowing you to pull a larger trailer, pass on the freeway faster, and get better mileage. Order today!

Volant for the win...
Posted 10/12/2009 by JWagner
04Hemi has it right, this thing is sick in my 2003 Ram 5.7l. The trucks a daily driver, and between this and my cat-back exhaust gives me 1.5 mpg more then it did before, and that definately is going to earn itself back over time. Highly recommended. Just need to get the new lid, since I have the older model.

Volant Intake and Ram Air Box
Posted 5/23/2007 by 1sliksierra
I recently purchased the whole Volant package, including the intake and Ram air scoop. I dont think i can vouch for the horsepower increase. Maybe a couple but no 10 or 15.The throttle respose was imediate, and the sound between 2700 and about 4000 RPM is very challenging. It almost seems to growl now. I just installed so i dont know the effects on gas yet.(prob be worse cuz i always got my foot in it to hear it growl) Also great instructions, install took about 25 minutes with the right tools. GREAT PROUDUCT WOULD RECOMEND TO ANYONE!!!!

Volant CAI + Ram Air tube
Posted 6/14/2007 by cherokeebrett
I purchased the Volant cold air intake and the Ram Air Accessory. It took me 2 1/2 hours to install and I have done minor engine work. This thing looks and sounds sweet especially with the Ram Air at highway speeds. 3..2..1.. BLASTOFF!!!

So Far So Good...
Posted 6/26/2007 by fjaloma
I put this cool air induction system into my 2006 Yukon Denali. The increas in low end torque is good. Passing on the Hwy is improved. My estimate of overall horse power gain is about 10hp.

As for installation; over all it was pretty easy. It took me about 75 minutes. The reason it took that long was step #8. The most technical step in the process. It requires reinstalling the Mass Airflow Sensor to the airbox and misc. gaskets & adapters. The issue was it took me 20 minutes to truley identify what the "adapter" looked like. I was using the wrong part. All Volnat needs to do is take 1 more photo or explain what the "adapter" looks like to make it easier.

All in all... a thumbs up.

07 sierra cold air box
Posted 7/14/2007 by midlifeman
2nd volant system i've installed. they work.....installation on this one was disappointing. fit was terrible!! had to fit the fasteners, this was no bolt in application. does give alot of performance to this rig, just wish they (VOLANT) took more time on developing this unit better.

Volant Intake and ram air scoop
Posted 7/14/2007 by joeone87
I just installed the CAI and CAS on my 2005 GMC Sierra and matched with my Flowmaster 40 series cat-back exhaust has one mean growl and rumble. It makes this fuel injected truck sound at wide open throttle sound like my 69 Chevy truck when I crack open the four barrels. Nice low end torque even easing into the throttle. I am very happy with this purchase.

Was going to go with the AEM brute force intake for my vehical (05 ford f-150) but when i saw the Volant system did some research and the AEM doesnt compare to the volant. Installed yesterday - instructions suck. Took about an hour, but now i can't keep my foot off the gas and i can burn out on my 24 inch wheels. Tight son.

SICK!!!!
Posted 8/29/2007 by 04Hemi
I have a 2004 Ram 5.7 Hemi and this is by far the sickest intake I have ever used. I got the intake and the ram air scoop. It was the easiest install you could imagine. In less than 20 minuets I was on the road testin' it out. DAMN it sounds good. Everyone needs a Volant on there car or truck.

I love the Volant!!! It has a great sound and immediate difference in throttle response. The only thing I wish was different was the look of the system.

Volant Air Intake
Posted 1/1/2008 by tommcmillan
The four mounting holes in the bottom of the box did not match up to the four holes that were left from the removal of the stock air box mount. One of hte holes had to be elongated in order for the fourth bolt to be used.
The two phillips head screws on the left side of the air box (as you are standing in front of the vehicle) are not accessable with a normal phillips screw driver. I had to use a Chapman ratcheting screw driver that gets into tight places. The engineer should have designed the box so that all screws could be accessed with normal tools.

Volant describes in their literature that better performance and gas mileage will result. I have found that the gas mileage has decreased if anything. I put a K&N unit on my 2006 Suburban and got an additional 2-3 MPG on the road. The Volant has not resulted in similiar gains.

cold air intake with ram air scoop
Posted 6/26/2008 by catfish12
Installation was a snap in my 99 GMC 1/2 ton. Have not had it out on the highway yet but took it around the block just to see. I got on the gas and the rear end squated like I was wishing it would. The sound coming out was perfect.

04 Silverado 5.3L
Posted 7/18/2008 by jm4185
Awesome air intake! There is a definite increase in power, and throttle response, as well as a mean growl from the engine compartment! I installed this with a corsa cat-back exhaust and in addition to the increase in performance I went from 13mpg to almost 16mpg on the first tank with no change in driving habits (to be honest I push it a little harder now) and have maintained that mpg gain! I'd recommend this system to anyone!

Love this intake!!!!
Posted 11/4/2008 by dolfy74
This intake was the missing link in my GMC Sierra's performance. The area between 1000 - 3000RPM has vastly improved!!! Where I would have to half-throttle it(especially going uphill)I now only have to push the throttle only quarter (or less). I also added the (optional) ram-air intake and I also modified the top of the air box to receive cold air from from my Goodhood Ram-Air Hood. What a difference!!! This product works!!! Worth every penny.

While this is one of the most expensive kits you can buy, its not the easiest to install. I had to make minor modifications to the air box, and the intake air tube to be able to install it. It was little simple things like the holes in the bottom of the air box did not line up correctly with the factory holes. The air tube opening for the factory IAT sensor was too small and had to be sanded down just to be able to install the sensor. It does look incredible under the hood and there is a noticeable improvement under my foot.

Volant Air Intake - 07 Toyota Tacoma
Posted 6/3/2009 by milos
This is a great product. It was easy to install, 30 minutes. I had to cut the pipe about an inch to fit the connecting rubber piece to the intake. I just thought I would get a little better mileage. Maybe 2mil./gl. not 10 to 15. But it sounds and feels great when you tromp it.
