Description:
The Power Pup Downloader is a programmer/tuner that downloads horsepower and performance enhancing programs into your Ford, Dodge, or GM trucks or SUVs with the Gas engine. The downloader offers two different engine tunes above stock to accommodate various driving conditions.
Stock Tune: Choosing the Stock Engine Tune will result in not change to engine horsepower output, but all other downloader features are available.
Regular Tune: The Regular Engine Tune is recommended for use with 85 or 87 octane gasoline. For maximum effectiveness it is recommend that shift firmness and shift points be increased. This tune can be used for everyday driving and towing.
Premium Tune: The Premium Engine Tune is recommended for use with 91 or 93 octane gasoline. Again increases in shift firmness and shift points are recommended with this tune. This tune can be used for everyday driving and off highway racing.

The Ford Power Pup also included these additional features: Transmission Tuning, Transmission Shift Points, Speed Limiter Adjustment and Reading and Erasing Diagnostic Trouble Codes. All operations take place inside the cab with the Power Pup hooked up to the OBDII port.The Dodge Hemi Power Pup also included these additional features: Transmission Shift Points, Speed Limiter Adjustment and Reading and Erasing Diagnostic Trouble Codes. The GM Power Pup also included these additional features: Transmission Tuning, Transmission Shift Points, Speed Limiter Adjustment and Reading and Erasing Diagnostic Trouble Codes. All operations take place inside the cab with the Power Pup hooked up to the OBDII port.
Remember to always keep the Downloader in your vehicle after you have downloaded a power program. You may need to change the power program or check and erase Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
The power program must always be removed before taking the vehicle in for any kind of service, as it may interfere with diagnostic tools used by your dealer.
