Description:

Maximum power and driveability!
Hypertech’s New Max Energy Power Programmer delivers Hypertech’s definitive tuning for maximum power and drivability. Only Hypertech delivers maximum power (up to 176 hp over stock for diesel trucks & 57 hp over stock for gas trucks) even while towing 10,000 lbs! No other tuner even comes close.

Stock 2007 Chevy D-Max drag strip pull - 14.23 @93mph with Hypertech Max Energy!

Whether you run diesel, premium gas, or regular gas, Hypertech delivers maximum power and performance, like optimizing tuning over the entire rpm band, proper transmission shifting, and maintaining safe EGTs.

Superior tuning that doesn't require a de-fueling fix is what gives the new Max Energy Power Programmer the performance advantage. Max Energy offers gas owners dual fuel options (Regular and Premium Fuel).

Another benefit is the increase in fuel mileage. Hypertech customers are claiming 2 to 6 mpg gains, and with the rising price of fuel that savings adds up quickly.

If you’re running non-stock tires the Max Energy can help you too. Depending on the application, Hypertech can correct the speedometer and odometer for tires up to 54 inches! In addition, Hypertech’s Max Energy Power Programmers have the ability to read and clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) or “check engine” lights, adjust shift points, shift firmness and raise the top speed limiter and the rev limiter. Plus, the new Max Energy has a USB connector to allow updates via the internet. And as always, you’ll be street-legal because all Hypertech products are emissions-certified for use in all 50 States.

You can feel confident that Hypertech’s Max Energy Power Programmer is the best choice.

Available for many Dodge, Nissan, Ford and GM trucks and SUVs. Not compatible with Hybrid vehicles. Check out our video:

Adjustable Features:

  • 3 Stage Engine Tuning (For Diesel Applications Only)
  • Speedometer Correction for up to 54" tires (certain applications only)
  • Top-Speed Limiter
  • Shift Firmness
  • Diagnostics
  • Internet Updates

could be better
Posted 7/16/2007 by streetsweeper68
I bought the programmer for my 2001 GMC HD4x4 with the 6.0 and understood that it wouldn't be a great noticable difference like a duramaxx would be but I'M not impressed! First off I have allways run premium fuel in it and I set it up for that and got noticable detonation under a heavy foot and was very disatisfied with the engine tuning options I thought that there would be maybe a couple of custom programs for your driving style instead of your two only options regular and premium gas. The transmission options are okay but at 100% shift firmness it feels like 20%. I can say that I do notice a slight increase in low end torque and the tire calibrations work too, and maybe a one mile per gallon gas increase but all in all it could be better. I mean it's an 01 truck that should be enough time to come up with some real performance upgrades or at least a package deal, also my truck has exhaust and a better air filter and is in great shape so maybe a spacer plate and some suggestions will help but I expected more bang for the buck. But one thing is for sure the customer service was great and would recommend them highly and after all they didn't make the programmer.

Does not work on Hybrid trucks
Posted 7/17/2007 by 06chevyon24s
I bought this programer and put it in my 06 chevy hybrid and it does not work and i just wanted to put out a warning that in u drive a hybrid that you'll have to get power a different way because this programer is not made for a hybrib chevy..

Stylin Trucks response posted on 7/20/2007
The Max Energy does not work on a Hybrid. The Max Energy tuning will work on vehicles that have "Flex Fuel" (you can use ethanol or gas). The 2006 Silverado Hybrid has the same LM7 5.3L V8 (8th VIN = "T") as the non-Hybrid Silverado. The Hybrid Silverado has a sticker/plaque on it that says "Hybrid".

still waiting
Posted 7/18/2007 by notsoeasy
Bought this for my GMC 2002 sierra. It did not work out of the box, and now after three weeks, I'm still waiting for a corrective action from the OEM. the 800 number is busy allot, wonder why? Doesn't anyone check the order to make sure it will work for the truck it is ordered for? I'm not blaming stylin' but what kind of connection is there with the supplier when all I get is call to the manufacturer...from them. Not too impressed.

Sent it back!
Posted 7/19/2007 by 06 Harley
I bought the programmer and watched the video, everything was going fine until I got an error message and an "engineering code" came up. It then told me to call the manufacturer. I did, and was told they would e-mail me an update in a few days. I sent the programmer back and three weeks later I still have not recieved my e-mail with the update. I'm glad I sent it back!

MPG And Hp
Posted 8/22/2007 by limper
I have a 2004 Chevy 1500. It has 35" Pro Comp M/T Extremes, 6" Super Lift, K&N intake and Flowmaster Dual exahast. I was getting 13 mpg at 70mph. I now get 23mpg with the cruise set at 70mph. I love this thing. It not only gave me better gas milage but gave my truck enough hp and torque to turn those 35s over any time I want.

Incredible
Posted 11/4/2007 by Ironman
I had my doubts about the Max Energy. All my deisel buds spent $1,300 to $1,600 on chips, cold air intakes and new exhausts. When I programed my 2004 F350 6.0 and took it out for a spin...simply incredible. The Stage 3 setting gave my Ford all the power and more than my freinds got at a third of the price. This product works for power. I'll let you know about the MPG after a few tanks! Ironman

Best Bang for Buck
Posted 1/2/2008 by 2500HD Dana60
I got this programmer for my 2005 2500HD Silverado and it works. Not only does it wake up the 6.0, it adds a lot of power with the intake and exhaust to. Throttle response has increased as well. If you want a good upgrade this is the right item and well worth it.

This product was suppose to be easy to install...... Wrong! It says on the package 3 minutes to install...... Wrong! After downloading the lastest update for 10 minutes i tried to install it. Did it work....... NO! the screen didn't even display anything. Kind of annoying that one would spend almost $400 on a product that is way more frustrating than it claims to be. Stylin is great Hypertech on the other hand sorry you need to go back to the drawing board an fix you crap product!

Hypertech really delivers on their Claims.
Posted 2/23/2008 by finalday7
I installed This programmer on my NBS 2007 GMC Sierra Crewcab with the 4.8L engine and couldn't be happier. Running the 87 octane tune, I saw an increase of 3.00 MPG and a healthy performance upgrade. I went from 11.8MPG-14.8MPG. I would recommend this programmer to anyone looking for better mileage and performance.

Greater power and fuel mileage
Posted 3/19/2008 by Baracuda28227
I know the unit doesn't look that great, but its look is deceiving. I used this on my 03 Silverado Z71 and I can get some great mileage. Depending on how you drive, I can actually get 20 to 22 mpg in the city. Thats not a lie. Granted I added an intake before using this product, but it increased my mileage about 4 mgp greater after the programmer was used. The intake added about 2 to 3 mpg. I recommend using this programmer!

Need more info on the front end
Posted 3/28/2008 by terryr
I purchesed the unit for a 2008 GMD 5.3L. I lifted 4" with 315/70R17 tires. the ABS module from GM (listed as JF3 in the line set ticket in the glove box) will NOT allow the tire size/speedo changes needed. Nothing was mentioned in the iformation. It requires a $200 module to install behind the dash to make the correction. So if you have this unit, just be prepared to spend $200 more to get it to work.

What do i think bout this product
Posted 10/3/2008 by monkeyslayer208
What do i think bout this.. inspiet of what you've seen an heard about this product ... i have something I myself would like to tell bout this thing. I see that some people have said that they cant tell a differ after its been put in. Well i have to say that it would be an INCORRECT statement. One reason i say this is because you may still have a stock version of your truck. YOU WILL NOT NOTICE much of an increase. With the cold air intake and MAGNAFLOW straight threw exhaust I've noticed that the power increase was MUCH better. My truck picked up HUGE power gains with all of thses SMALL adjustments it mayde a BIG differ. now if your truck or car is stock you WILL NOT see a really BIG differ. MPG.. hmmm... well I'm gettin 21 and better out of a 4 DR SIERRA with the 4.8.. SO what do i think.. BUY THIS THING AND HAVE SOME FUN..lol wanna no more.. hit me up monkeyslayer208@hotmail.com oh and stylin.. thanks for the good service ... adam sims wiggins ms

2002 Silverado 2500HD 4X4 6.0L V8
Posted 11/4/2008 by shawn65930
I installed the hypertech max energy power programmer on my 2002 Silverado 2500HD 4X4 with the 6.0L V8, 4.10 gears, and 32" Pro-Comp Mud Terrain tires. Love the options, speedometer calibration for changes in tire size and axle ratio, top speed limiter removal, rev limiter removal, adjustment to shift points, and adjustment to shift firmness. I did notice an increase in power, but some of the gain was complimented with the Airaid Air Intake, Poweraid Throttle Body Spacer, and Custom True-Dual Exhaust with Flowmaster Glass Packs. I also noticed about 1-2 MPG increase on highway, but with the 4.10 gears my truck the power upgrades only increased from 11MPG to my best mileage 13.25MPG mostly highway. I also just installed a Granatelli Mass Airflow Sensor and hope for even greater increases. Keep watching stylintrucks.com for more great deals on products and free shipping promotions.

I really liked this product, i have 285s and it let me put my speedo right, get ride of that speed limiter, also seen improvement in horsepower and torque, and she will do 0-60 in just over 6 secs now, not bad for my truck that weighs over 6,000 pounds, also improved in gas mileage from about 11 in city and 15, on highway, to 13 in city and above 16-17 on the highway, all in all great product.

Installed the Max Energy programmer on my 2004 Silverado with 5.3 engine. Chart was a little confusing on setting shift points with respect to rev limiter, but one call to tech line solved that. Already had installed Grannetelli cold air kit, performance mass airflow sensor, Grannetelli wires, and flowmaster exhaust, but still noticed performance improvement. Quicker response and harder shifts. My Perelli Scorpions break loose constantly, even when I just hit passing gear! Having too much fun to check mileage!

KM in Orange

I mainly made this purchase to re-calibrate the speedometer on my 2008 Chevy 2500 HD (6 liter gas engine) after doing a 6 inch suspension lift. Although gas mileage only increases slightly, speedo is dead on now and I retuned the engine for 91 octane and it is much more responsive off the line and overall performance. Highly recommend the product. Only downside is that it has no transmission options for the new GM 6-speed trannies.

Easy to use BUTTTTTTTT!!!!!
Posted 5/1/2009 by pm04776
It's as easy as plug and play but I saw absolutely no gain in mileage and because you don't have adjustments for intake and exhaust changes, I wonder if it factors those changes in. The phone center guy SAYS these are compensated for by the comupter. WELL, if this thing is supposed to ENHANCE the computer, how does is know what to compensate FOR??? I think it's a lot of money for no APPARENT gain!!!
