Purchased this kit to lower my '03 Yukon 4WD. I had the truck done in about an hours time total (I am a mechanic though, Novice DIY'ers may take 2-2.5 hours). The quality of the pieces is excellent, and the instructions are decent. You will need a tool to relieve tension on the torsion keys in order to remove the adjustment bolts. Not many automotive parts shops have even heard of the tool and it is $180 from the Snap On truck.
Once installed I measured about 3" drop front and 3" rear. I had the torsion adjustment bolts pretty loose, and once I tightened them I was able to attain a closer to level ride height with a slight bit of front rake to keep from rear sag when loaded with people/cargo. Plan ahead and be ready to have to truck aligned once installed, front camber and toe will be way out and I wouldn't recommend any trips other then to the alignment shop. Have the front height set before aligning. |
