Installation of these is very easy compared to removing the OEM shocks in the rear. Work pretty good for the rear. I would still advise to spend a little more and get the Belltech street performance shocks.

I had 3" belltech lowering springs in front, and 2" Shackles, 2" Hangers for the rear. I had to order a 1" belltech spacer in order for the front shocks to work at all. The rear work good. The front work better now but for the price I wasnt impressed. I would suggest ordering the belltech street performance shocks.

The only problem I had was the new center bolts. They are extremely long and the nuts are very difficult to put on the center pin as there is nothing to hold it still. I did not have any rear-end shake but I ordered them anyway. After installation it definately helped the rear end to hook up and drive better!

Springs are what you expect from belltech, but for the F-150 you need to dish out the dough and put the drop spindles on. The frame will almost sit on the lower control arm with the springs. I even put the 1 inch spacer in and its better but wish I would have got the spindles.

*Note this is on a 2003 F150 EXT Cab* This product is extremely time consuming. It is not easy to get the leaf springs into the new places to bolt up. As of right now my wheels in the back are turned in. Looking back I wouldnt use this method again. Go for the lowering springs. |
