EpoxyShield Garage Floor Coating
Beautify your Garage
You've probably spent countless hours and money upgrading your living quarters, but what about the living quarters of your pride and joy out in the driveway? Yes, we're talking about your garage. Of course you've got a full selection of ratchets and wrenches, and probably the biggest, baddest tool chest on the planet, right? (at least bigger than that bozo next door...)
You also have some great storage in there. Maybe some racks along one wall, a massive cabinet to hold all of your goodies, plenty of wall-hanging shelving and storage units and a huge, sturdy work bench.
So far your garage is great on function, but what about looks? Have you got full coverage with efficient flourescent lights? Of course you do. The fixtures are inexpensive and simply plug in, with no need for complicated wiring or switches. And aside from pegboards that neatly store all of your specialty tools, your walls are adorned with racing flags, vintage beer signs, posters and calendars - what garage wouldn't be?
So you have a beautiful garage. But what condition is the floor in? The floor is the last thing that people think to upgrade in their garage. It is cold, dusty, dirty, and stained. Show of hands: how many people reading this have to lie on scrap carpet or cardboard when working in the garage?
Most guys give their garage a good sweep in the spring, and maybe another in the fall. Sure, it looks tidy, but is it really "clean?" What about really doing something about that floor? Wouldn't it be great if there was a way to clean up and cover all of the paint stains, the discoloration from oil, gas, and other solvents seeping into the concrete? There is!
The EpoxyShield Garage Floor Coating from Rust-Oleum is a great-looking, durable, and long-lasting garage floor surface protectant. The water-based system easily covers up any blemishes, discoloration, or staining on your garage floor, leaving behind a beautiful surface that's smooth, shiny, easy to clean, and will last forever. And, it can't be ruined by oils, gasses, or any other solvents that may haphazardly find their way onto the floor.
The easy to use kit comes with everything required to cover and beautify your garage floor; 2-part water-based epoxy coating, concentrated cleaner, decorative chips, a stir stick, detailed instructions and an instructional DVD.
Simply clean the floor surface, combine the 2-part epoxy and paint it on. The included decorative vinyl chips are spread on the floor after painting. The floor kit includes enough material to coat 250 square feet, which is approximately a 1-car garage. If your garage floor is larger, or the surface is rough and/or porous, two kits may be required for full even coverage.
And your garage floor doesn't have to be perfect or pristine to use the Epoxy Shield Garage Floor Kit, the manufacturer provides additional products to help get your garage up to snuff. If you have cracks and chips in the floor, use Epoxy Shield Concrete Patch and Repair. To ensure optimum adhesion, clean up any grease, oil or gas stains with Epoxy Shield Degreaser before applying your garage floor kit.
