The Work of a True EnthusiastRyan Beilstein, hardcore truck enthusiast and loyal Stylin’ Trucks customer, caught the car modifying bug from his brother but has proven he can really hold his own. His 1998 Ford Ranger reflects the work of a skilled craftsman and it’s important to note that mom and dad did not pay for any of it. He’s supported his habit all while working and going to school. Nice! Like many 21-year-olds, he’s also interested in hanging out with his girlfriend and friends, listening to music, watching movies, mountain biking and even archery. But unlike most 21-years-olds, he developed his own custom stereo system….from scratch! He started with a scaled drawing that depicted the available space. He then used cardboard cutouts to ensure proper fit. The end result is a badass system that consists of: · Kenwood Excelon KVT-911DVD 6.5" touch screen head unit · TV tuner with antennas · Navigation system · Kenwood KDC-C465FM 6 CD disc changer · Optima yellow top battery · Heavy-duty 130 amp alternator · 4 Alpine type R 5x7 speakers · Dynamat everywhere · 4 Bass blockers · MTX 2300X Amp · 2 12" Kicker Comp VR subs · Kicker sub grilles · Custom made sub box and amp rack · 15" Streeglow blue neon on amp · VooDoo 1.2 Farad digital capacitor I’m guessing you can hear Ryan from about 5 miles away! And that’s far from all folks. Ryan has made extensive improvements to his truck over the last few years , and has found Stylin’ Trucks to be very helpful in these endeavors. “The Stylin’ sales staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They’re genuinely interested in helping me modify my truck.” Drop it like it’s hot! Ryan clearly likes to lay low. His DJM 4/5 lowering kit uses a set of replacement coil springs with upper and lower control arms for four inches of drop in the front and a flip kit for five inches of drop in the rear. In addition, the DJM Calmax drop shocks and an Eccentric cam bolt kit to help his truck almost scrape the ground. An exterior that turns heads… Lowering his truck is only the tip of the iceberg on Ryan’s exterior customizations. His truck obviously draws attention wherever he goes. A shaved tailgate and roll pan eliminates the bulk of a stock bumper and creates a smooth look. The Tuned by Matrix billet grille further accentuates his truck’s hard-body feel. Ryan also ensures he can see and is seen with a number of lighting products. The Diamond-cut euro clear headlights, Plasma Glow Xenon/Krypton headlight bulbs, Diamond clear corners, Sylvania Silverstar signal bulbs, 4" fog lights, the Line of Fire LED strip, as well as the color-matched Street Scene Cal-Vu mirrors with LED signals all create a sleek, modern look, while improving safety. Bonus! On the other hand, the 15% window tint creates a bit of a mystique, making it look like Ryan is on a covert operation! Protecting his precious ride and all of the valuable customizations is also key and therefore, he utilizes a Billet tailgate protector, Billet flame 3rd brake light cover as well as a Checkmate tonneau cover. A man’s truck has to have Power! A true enthusiast realizes that a truck can’t just look good, however, it also has to achieve maximum power and performance. The Gibson dual exhaust, for example, creates an intimidating roar, while adding greater acceleration, maximum passing and towing and increased horsepower. Also improving power, Jet performance chips optimize ignition curve and modify the air/fuel ratio. Ryan gains up to 25 additional horsepower without compromising the factory warranty or fuel economy. Maximum engine efficiency is also important and a Poweraid throttle body spacer increases combustion effectiveness, providing tremendous torque and noticeable mileage increases. Further, the cold air intake improves air flow by reducing the amount of dirt that gets into the engine. With all of these enhancements, Ryan’s engine will outlive him! A sweet ride, inside and out! The interior of Ryan’s ride further proves his status of truck enthusiast, demonstrating his impeccable attention to detail. Nu Image blue flame gauges and a Nu Image AC panel, with Billet AC knobs create dash that's definitely not stock. Further, the Billet aluminum pedals and Billet window lock pins and the Ford Racing leather/billet shift knob add a touch of class, as well as a high-energy spirit, that bring this truck to a higher level. The Ford Racing steering wheel cover and floor mats inspire Ryan to go fast, which is why the Cobra radar detector comes in very handy! He has also a fire extinguisher on hand because his truck is smokin’ hot! (Yeah, I know, a bit much!) Only ridin’ on the best. Of course a truck with this much work would only ride on the best tires and wheels. He has 18x9” Y2K Cobra R wheels and 255/45ZR18 BF Goodrich g-Force KDW tires. Ryan would like to thank his girlfriend for tolerating his obsession…errr….hobby! He'd also like to give props to all the guys on RangerPowerSports.com for answering questions and being like family. His dream would be to own 2000 Ford Mustang Cobra R and have his truck bagged. He’s attending
