The Fitch Fuel Catalyst Installation
If you haven't heard, the Fitch Fuel Catalyst is taking the automotive aftermarket by storm. First, let's get some background on this nifty little product: "The Fitch Fuel Catalyst is a permanent fuel treatment device that reformulates and resuscitates partially oxidized fuel, and suppresses growth of bacteria in fuel. This product ensures that all fuel delivered to a combustion engine is in its optimal condition, allowing an engine to extract the maximum amount of energy with minimal emissions per kg of fuel."
How's it work?
I know what you're thinking - what the heck does that mean? Well, let's break this down nice and easy like. Everybody knows that old gas is no good, right? And muscle car guys and boat owners (people who store their vehicles for long periods of time) have been adding fuel stabilizer to their tanks for years. They know that after a while, gas gets old. The structure starts to break down and it gets "sludgy," gumming up injectors and valves and wreaking all sorts of havoc. Plus it burns poorly, producing lousy mileage and high emissions.
Let's make sure that we're all on-board with the idea that fresh gas is better than old gas. It's cleaner and burns better, for more power, better mileage, and cleaner exhaust. But what if you could have not only fresh gas, but the freshest gas possible - forever! Yeah, now I've got your attention. Check it out. The oil refinery makes the gasoline, which is then stored in a tank. Then it's transported in another tank until it gets to the gas station where it sits in yet another tank. It can be months before that gasoline makes its way to your gas tank. That's not fresh!!
Well, our little friends at Fitch have solved this problem. Basically, the Fitch Fuel Catalyst reformulates and freshens partially oxidized fuel. The fuel flows through the Fitch unit and is instantly freshened and awakened. And who better to believe than the experts at Horsepower TV?:

The Installation
[Editor's Note: These steps and instructions are not valid replacements to the manufacturer's supplied instructions. Consult your product installation manual for specific steps.]
The installation of the Fitch Fuel Catalyst is pretty simple. First, attach the 90 deg. elbows to the ends of the fitch canister. Then, the hose inserts install onto the 90 deg. elbows.
Now just find somewhere to mount the Fitch canister. It would make sense for everybody if the Fitch Fuel Catalyst was installed near your fuel lines, so look for an open location that has access to them (we chose the transmission crossmember). Now, simply mount the Fitch unit, cut your fuel line and install the cut ends onto the canister. The fuel will now flow through the canister and be awakened and energized before going to the motor.

Here is the Fitch Fuel Catalyst as it comes out of the box. It includes hoses, clamps, and any hardware necessary for installation. |

Here's is the Fitch unit with the elbows installed, they just screw onto the ends. |
First, the corner elbows are bolted onto the unit, then the hose adaptors are screwed on. |

Mounting the unit is as simple as drilling two small holes in the crossmember. |
